Training
This is the time to meet people with the same interest as you while preparing your companion for the hunting season! The more you put in, the more you get out!
Central States NAVHDA leases grounds near Unadilla NE. Training days are monthly and pending the weather, begin in March and end in September. The day of the month may vary by participation interest.
To join a training day, it is required that each participant be a member in good standing with NAVHDA International AND Central States NAVHDA.
Central States NAVHDA has training equipment available for use on training days. There will be individuals available to assist with training. The founding members have been involved with NAVHDA for multiple decades and participated in all levels of the testing system.
All dogs must be at least 4 months of age and up-to-date with vaccinations including Bordetella. Dogs must be leashed/tied out/kenneled while waiting for their turn in the field/water. You will want to include bug spray for you and potable water for you and your companion.
Notifications will be emailed to all members prior to the training date and will include the bird species available and their cost. Even if you do not need birds, you must RSVP to participate. Birds must be reserved by the date listed in the email. Please bring a bird bag/bird crate as each party is responsible for picking up and paying for their birds at the start of the training day.
